You can imagine the efficiency issues and utility cost associated with operating and maintaining several buildings that are more than 100 years old. We continue to invest in energy efficiency improvements each year. With the addition of two PV solar systems, we are able to generate a good portion of the electricity consumed on the property. The largest system is located on the south side of the North Marble building at 99 maple street. The smaller system is on the Gas House building at 228 maple street. This is a huge step toward reducing our footprint!
